Web Design for Vancouver Businesses, Delivered Async from Casablanca
Web design for Vancouver businesses, delivered asynchronously: RAIN Design Studio is a senior design and development studio in Casablanca, Morocco, working remotely with Vancouver companies. Casablanca runs 8 to 9 hours ahead of Pacific time, so most of our work happens while Vancouver sleeps, and fixed-scope projects start at $10,000 USD.

A web design agency for Vancouver businesses, run from Casablanca
RAIN is a senior design and development studio in Casablanca, Morocco, working remotely with Vancouver companies. We are not a local shop with a Gastown studio and a map pin. We are a small senior team, six people across three time zones, that has shipped work since 2014 and designs and builds every site in-house. Our founder, MrZaKaRiA, spent 11 years inside agencies before starting RAIN.
We are upfront about this because the trade-off matters. A Vancouver web design agency down the street can sit in your boardroom on a Tuesday. We cannot, at least not without planning a trip. What we offer instead is senior design and engineering, published prices, and a working rhythm built around the clock rather than against it.
How async web design works across an 8–9 hour gap
Casablanca runs on GMT+1 for most of the year. That puts us 8 hours ahead of Vancouver in summer and 9 hours ahead in winter. Our working day ends at about 9 or 10 am Pacific. Instead of pretending to offer full overlap, we built the process for asynchronous work.
A typical day
| Vancouver (Pacific time) | Casablanca | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 8:00–9:00 am | 4:00–6:00 pm | Weekly live call on Mondays; on other days, quick questions in Slack |
| 9:00 am–5:00 pm | Evening, overnight | You review the preview link and leave comments on the design or build |
| 5:00 pm–midnight | Night | Your feedback waits in one Slack channel and the issue tracker |
| Midnight–9:00 am | 8:00 am–5:00 pm | We design, build and ship fixes while you sleep |
The result is a 24-hour loop. Feedback you leave at 3 pm is usually in a new build when you open your laptop the next morning. Every Friday you get a Loom walkthrough showing what shipped, what is next and what we need from you, so stakeholders who missed the call can catch up in ten minutes.
What async asks of you
Async delivery works when decisions are written down. We ask for one named decision-maker, written comments on the preview link rather than verbal notes, and a 24-hour turnaround on blocking questions. If your team prefers long workshops and live design reviews every day, a local agency or one in an Eastern time zone will suit you better. For Eastern Canada, see our page for Toronto companies, where the overlap is a full morning.
What Vancouver companies hire us for
Vancouver’s economy leans on technology, film and visual effects, video games, clean tech, tourism, real estate and trade through the Port of Vancouver. The companies that fit RAIN tend to share a profile: a small marketing team, a product or service that needs explaining clearly, and buyers who research online before they ever book a call.
- Marketing sites for B2B and tech firms. Fast, static Astro websites with clean HTML, Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) treated as a design constraint, and no plugin stack to patch.
- Sites built to be found and cited. Every RAIN site ships JSON-LD structured data, a sitemap,
llms.txtand an AI-crawler-friendly robots.txt. Our generative engine optimization service goes further, for teams that want to be cited in AI answers. - Product and app interfaces. Dashboards, client portals and onboarding flows from our UI/UX design team, built by the same people who design them.
- Bilingual English and French sites. Useful for federal-facing work or customers in Quebec.
Redesigns and migrations
A good share of website design work in Vancouver is not a blank page but a rebuild: an aging WordPress theme, a page builder that has grown slow, or a site that no longer matches the company it describes. We plan these as migrations, not just new layouts. That means an inventory of every existing URL, 301 redirects for anything that moves, metadata and structured data carried across, and analytics checked before the DNS switch. The async rhythm helps here too: we can run the cut-over during the Casablanca morning, which is the middle of the night in Vancouver, when your traffic is at its lowest.
Vancouver web design options compared
Most buyers searching for web design in Vancouver compare four kinds of supplier. Here is an honest view of where each fits.
| Criterion | Local Vancouver agency | Freelancer | Offshore shop (India, Philippines, LatAm) | RAIN (Casablanca, remote) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Face-to-face meetings | Easy | Often easy | Rare | By arrangement only |
| Live overlap with Pacific time | Full | Usually full | Varies, often limited | 1–2 hours, async the rest |
| Seniority on your project | Varies by account | One person | Often mixed, junior-heavy | Senior lead, human sign-off on everything |
| Design and development together | Often split or outsourced | Rarely both at depth | Often development only | Brand, UI/UX and build in one studio |
| Pricing visibility | Usually quote-only | Hourly | Rate cards | Published: projects from $10,000 USD |
| Progress while you sleep | No | No | Sometimes | Yes, by design |
Website design and development in Vancouver: proof
We prefer to show work rather than make claims. Two sites are the closest match for a Vancouver buyer:
- Origin Element, the marketing site for a London AI integration consultancy. It is an Astro 7 build with 42 indexable pages, including 36 SEO and GEO content pages (8 services, 8 regions, 8 industries, 12 guides), build-time social cards for every page,
llms.txtgenerated from the site’s own data, and a Lighthouse budget enforced in CI. It was delivered entirely remotely, to a client in a different country. - 2RCLOUD, a bilingual English and French Astro site for a senior Salesforce tech lead. It ships zero runtime JavaScript by default, Person and FAQPage JSON-LD, and hreflang-annotated routing so both language versions are indexed separately.
Neither is a Vancouver client, and we will not pretend otherwise. They show the standard of design, performance and structure you would get.
Logistics: contracts, privacy, payment and ownership
- Contract. A written proposal and contract before any work starts, covering scope, milestones, confidentiality and ownership.
- Ownership. You own the code, design files and content. We can work inside your GitHub, hosting and domain accounts from the first day.
- Privacy. Canadian private-sector privacy is governed by PIPEDA and, for many organizations in British Columbia, BC’s PIPA. We keep forms and analytics lean and can host in a Canadian cloud region. Your counsel decides what your site needs; we build to that.
- Payment. Prices are in USD, invoiced by milestone for projects and monthly for retainers.
- Language. English and French, with Arabic available.
- After launch. Small fixes are covered for an agreed period after go-live; ongoing changes move to a retainer or are quoted as small fixed-scope pieces.
Pricing and timelines
- Fixed-scope projects from $10,000 USD. A typical marketing site takes 3 to 6 weeks; custom platforms take 8 to 16 weeks.
- Growth retainer, $7,500 USD per month: 45 hours, two active projects, twice-weekly syncs, 24-hour response.
- Scale retainer, $15,000 USD per month: 100 hours, unlimited active projects, daily syncs, same-day response.
- Kick-off within 3 to 5 business days of signature.
If you want to understand the stack first, our guide to what Astro is explains why we build most marketing sites on it.

Frequently asked questions
No. RAIN Design Studio is based in Casablanca, Morocco, and works with Vancouver companies remotely. We have no office, phone line or staff in British Columbia. On-site workshops can be arranged for larger engagements, with travel agreed in advance.
Casablanca is 8 hours ahead of Vancouver in summer and 9 hours ahead in winter. We work asynchronously: you leave feedback during your afternoon, we act on it during our day, and the result is waiting on a preview link when you start work. A weekly live call sits at 8 am Pacific, which is late afternoon in Casablanca.
Fixed-scope projects start at $10,000 USD, and a typical marketing site takes 3 to 6 weeks. For ongoing work, the Growth retainer is $7,500 USD per month for 45 hours and the Scale retainer is $15,000 USD per month for 100 hours.
Yes. RAIN works in English and French every day, and we have shipped bilingual sites with proper hreflang annotations and separate canonicals for each language, such as 2RCLOUD. That is useful if you sell into Quebec or work with federal clients.
You do. Ownership of the code, design files and content is written into the contract before kick-off, and we can work in your own GitHub organization, hosting account and domain registrar from day one.
We build forms and analytics with data minimization in mind and can host in a Canadian cloud region if you prefer. PIPEDA and, for many BC private-sector organizations, BC's PIPA set the rules, and your own advisers decide what your site needs. We do not give legal advice.
