UI/UX Design Agency for UK Software Teams
RAIN Design Studio is a UI/UX design agency for UK software teams, working remotely from Casablanca, Morocco, on UK time or one hour ahead. We design complex B2B products, from SaaS dashboards to ERP and CRM systems, and the same team builds them: RIVER ERP runs 154 screens across 12 suites on one design system with nine palettes tested for WCAG AA contrast.

Time difference with the UK
RAIN is a senior design and development studio in Casablanca, Morocco, working remotely with UK companies. We design the interfaces of complex software, such as B2B SaaS products, back-office tools, ERP and CRM systems, for UK teams that need a product designer who understands data models, permissions and edge cases, not just screens.
A UI/UX design agency for complex products
Most UI/UX design agency portfolios show consumer apps and landing pages. B2B products are a different problem. A sales operations tool or an ERP is used for hours a day by people who know the work better than the designer does. They care about density, speed, keyboard shortcuts and whether a table can show twelve fields without scrolling sideways.
We specialise in that kind of interface. In UK buyers’ terms, we fit best when:
- You are a B2B SaaS company whose product has grown feature by feature and now needs a coherent design system.
- You run internal tools or a back office that staff tolerate rather than use well.
- You are replacing a spreadsheet-driven process and need the new system designed before it is built. See bespoke software development for UK businesses.
Signs your product needs UX work
UK product teams usually call a UX design company when they notice one or more of these:
- Support tickets that are really design bugs: users cannot find a setting, misread a status or repeat the same task because the first attempt looked like it failed.
- Onboarding that depends on a person. New customers or staff only succeed after a call with your team.
- A design system in name only. Five button styles, three table patterns and colours chosen screen by screen.
- Features shipped but unused, because they sit behind menus nobody opens.
- Sales demos that avoid parts of the product. If your team steers around a screen, so do your users.
Each of these has a measurable baseline (ticket volume, time to first value, feature adoption), which lets us judge whether the redesign worked rather than whether it looks better. It also tells us where to start: the screens behind the most tickets usually come first.
Proof in shipped products
We can show complete products, not concept shots:
- RIVER ERP: 23 modules, 12 suites and 154 screens on one design system. Every feature is gated by a module system and role-based permissions, so a three-person shop and a multi-company group use the same build. Users can choose from nine colour palettes, and WCAG AA contrast for each is enforced by an automated test.
- Enterprise CRM: a B2B relationship tool that puts twelve data dimensions per account in a single row, including people, ARR, ICP score, tasks and opportunities, so reps stop switching tabs. It has native dark and light modes for long operator days and client-facing screens.
- RAIN Store: an e-commerce admin of 58 modules across 7 suites, with a plain-language AI alert layer that ranks stock, order and system issues when an operator logs in.
These are products we design, build and maintain ourselves, so the design decisions have been tested by real daily use rather than a client presentation.
Our product design process
- Discovery. Stakeholder interviews, a review of analytics and support tickets, and moderated sessions with real users over video.
- Flows and information architecture. The jobs users need to do, the objects they work with, and the permissions around them.
- Wireframes and prototypes in Figma, tested with users before visual design is locked.
- Design system. Tokens for colour, type and spacing; components with states, density options and accessibility notes.
- Build handoff or build. Either a documented Figma library for your engineers, or production components in Vue 3 or React from our own developers.
Each step ends with something you can review on a Friday Loom walkthrough. More detail on deliverables is on our main UI/UX design agency page.
How UX agencies compare for UK buyers
| UX research consultancy | Design-only studio | Freelance product designer | RAIN | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Research depth | Strong | Moderate | Varies | Moderate, focused on the decisions at hand |
| Design system | Sometimes | Yes, in Figma | Varies | In Figma and in code |
| Builds the product | No | No | Rarely | Yes, same team |
| B2B and data-heavy interfaces | Varies | Varies | Varies | ERP, CRM, billing and e-commerce admin shipped |
| Pricing | Day rates or programmes | Project quote | Day rate | Published: from $10,000; retainers $7,500 or $15,000 a month |
| Time zone | UK | Varies | Varies | Same as UK or 1 h ahead |
If you mainly need large-scale research programmes, a specialist research consultancy is a better fit. If you need research, design and a working front end from one accountable team, that is what we do.
Accessibility and UK expectations
UK public sector websites and apps must meet the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018, and private businesses have duties under the Equality Act 2010 not to exclude disabled users. WCAG is the usual yardstick in both cases. We design to WCAG 2.2 AA as a working target:
- Contrast checked at the token level, so every component inherits it.
- Full keyboard paths and visible focus states for every interactive element.
- Semantic components that work with screen readers.
- Density options for data-heavy screens without shrinking touch targets on mobile.
We do not issue legal compliance certificates. If you need a formal audit, we will work alongside your chosen auditor.
Working with UK product teams remotely
- Hours. Casablanca is on GMT+1 most of the year and GMT for about a month around Ramadan: the same as the UK in summer, one hour ahead in winter. Design reviews happen in your working day.
- Tools. Figma, your issue tracker and one shared Slack channel. We work inside your Figma organisation if you prefer.
- Workshops. Remote by default; in person at your office by arrangement.
- Ownership. Figma files, components and code belong to you, as written in the contract.
- Data. For research sessions with UK users we agree consent, recording and storage with you, with UK GDPR in mind.
Timeline and pricing
- Design sprint or audit of an existing product: scoped as a fixed project from $10,000.
- Ongoing product design: Growth retainer at $7,500 per month for 45 hours, two active projects and twice-weekly syncs.
- Design and development together: Scale retainer at $15,000 per month for 100 hours and daily syncs.
- Kick-off within 3–5 business days of signature.
For SaaS products that need both design and engineering, see SaaS development.

Typically research findings, user flows and information architecture, wireframes, a design system in Figma, clickable prototypes and a developer handoff with tokens and component specifications. RAIN also builds front ends, so the handoff can go straight into working code in Vue 3 or React.
Both. The same senior team designs and develops, which is how RIVER ERP, RAIN Store and Enterprise CRM were shipped. If you have your own engineers, we hand over a Figma library and coded components they can adopt.
Yes, remotely. We run moderated interviews and usability sessions over video with your customers or staff, on UK hours, and share recordings and findings with your team. Recruitment of participants is agreed with you, as you usually hold the customer relationship.
We design to WCAG 2.2 AA as a working target: contrast checked at the token level, full keyboard paths, visible focus states and semantic components. On RIVER ERP, palette contrast is enforced by an automated test. We do not issue legal compliance certificates.
Fixed-scope design projects start at $10,000. Ongoing product design usually runs on the Growth retainer at $7,500 per month for 45 hours, or Scale at $15,000 per month for 100 hours when design and development run in parallel. Prices are in USD.
No. RAIN is based in Casablanca, Morocco, and works with UK teams remotely, on the same clock as the UK or one hour ahead. Workshops at your office can be arranged; there is no UK office.
