Custom ERP Software for Dubai Companies, Built on a Proven Core
Custom ERP software for Dubai companies, built on RIVER ERP, our own 23-module Laravel and Vue platform, instead of a blank page or a heavy retrofit. RAIN Design Studio is a senior design and development studio in Casablanca, Morocco, working remotely with Dubai companies three hours behind Gulf time. Custom platforms typically take 8–16 weeks, from $10,000.

Custom ERP software for Dubai, without starting from zero
Dubai companies looking at ERP software usually end up with two options. They license a large international suite and pay a partner to bend it to their processes, or they commission a bespoke system and wait while someone rebuilds invoicing, stock and accounting from scratch.
RAIN Design Studio offers a third route. We are a senior design and development studio in Casablanca, Morocco, working remotely with Dubai companies, and we build custom ERP systems on RIVER ERP, our own platform. RIVER already has 23 activatable modules across 12 suites and about 154 screens, written in Laravel 13, Vue 3 and Tailwind CSS v4. Your project starts from working sales, purchasing, stock, treasury and accounting, and the budget goes into what is specific to your business.
We have no office in Dubai and do not pretend to. What we offer is a small senior team, one lead per project, and a product we maintain ourselves.
Why Dubai businesses commission a custom ERP
Dubai’s economy runs on trading, re-export, logistics, retail, hospitality, construction and professional services. Many businesses here share a few traits that generic ERP packages handle badly:
- Several legal entities. A mainland LLC next to one or more free-zone companies, often with shared stock or staff.
- Several currencies. AED for local sales, USD or EUR for suppliers, and a mix of payment terms.
- Bilingual paperwork. English for operations, Arabic for certain customers, authorities and printed documents.
- Sector-specific flows that do not fit a standard sales order, such as job costing, consignment stock, rental, or precious-metal weights.
When the standard package does not fit, teams fall back on spreadsheets around the ERP, and the numbers stop agreeing. A custom ERP built on a proven core avoids both the rigid fit and the blank page.
What the RIVER ERP core gives you on day one
RIVER ERP is our in-house, self-hosted business platform. The parts most relevant to Dubai companies:
- Multi-company: one owner across many companies, with per-company roles and 15 built-in roles from owner to driver.
- Multi-currency treasury: bank accounts, reconciliation by CSV or PDF import, cash-flow forecasting and dunning.
- 16 business document types with free conversion: a quotation can become an invoice or a delivery note directly, with full lineage.
- Arabic UI and Arabic documents: French, English and Arabic interface bundles are complete, and documents can print totals in words in Arabic.
- Stock and production: multi-warehouse inventory, FIFO and weighted-average valuation, batch, serial and expiry tracking, bills of materials and work orders.
- Retail and restaurant POS, payroll and HR, and an AI workspace with 18 model-provider adapters, including local models for privacy.
- Web, PWA, mobile and desktop: the same system runs in the browser, installs as a PWA, has Capacitor iOS and Android projects and a Tauri v2 desktop shell.
Everything is behind a module system and role-based permissions, so a ten-person trading company and a multi-entity group can run the same build with different modules switched on.
UAE VAT and e-invoicing readiness
VAT
The UAE applies VAT at a standard rate of 5%, administered by the Federal Tax Authority (FTA). RIVER’s accounting already covers tax rates, credit notes, tax reporting and period close. In a Dubai project we configure rates, invoice wording, tax registration fields and reports for your activities. We are not tax advisers: your accountant or tax adviser signs off the configuration before go-live.
E-invoicing
The UAE is moving towards mandatory structured e-invoicing, introduced in phases. The technical rules and timeline come from the Ministry of Finance and the FTA, and they can change. Our position is practical rather than promotional:
- RIVER already builds structured e-invoices for Morocco’s DGI (UBL 2.1, signed XML) and the EU (Factur-X), with a submission queue and offline fallback.
- Adapting that engine to the published UAE specification is a scoped localization task, not a rewrite.
- We plan the work against the official timeline with you and your adviser, and we do not claim certification we do not hold.
Data protection
The UAE has a federal Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), and free zones such as DIFC and ADGM have their own data-protection regimes. Because RIVER is self-hosted, you choose where the server and data live, including UAE-based hosting. Your legal counsel decides which rules apply to you.
Proof: two ERPs we built and run
RIVER ERP
A general business platform at version 27.0.1, with 1,226 commits between May and October 2026, 965 PHPUnit test files and 381 Vitest specs. It shows how we structure modules, permissions, documents and accounting at scale. Read the RIVER ERP case study.
GoldERP
A vertical ERP for a gold and jewellery workshop, rebuilt by RAIN on Laravel 13 and Filament 4 from a system in daily use since 2020. It tracks gold, silver and stones from purchase through workers to sale, splits payments across cash, post-dated cheques and customer credit, shows live gold and silver spot prices, and prints two-copy invoices in French, Arabic or English per customer. A parity harness checks the new formulas against the old system, so balances match to the gram before any switch-over. For Dubai’s gold and jewellery trade, it is a direct example of sector-specific ERP work.
We also built ERPStore, a subscription billing and CRM platform with 76 REST endpoints and 10 payment methods, which shows our billing and client-portal work.
Custom ERP vs the usual options in Dubai
| Criterion | Large ERP suite + local partner | Off-the-shelf SME package | Bespoke build from scratch | RAIN custom ERP on RIVER |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starting point | Generic suite, configured | Fixed product | Blank page | 23-module core already working |
| Fit to unusual flows | Through customization, often costly | Limited | Full | Full, as custom modules |
| Multi-company and multi-currency | Usually yes | Varies | Must be built | Built in |
| Arabic documents | Depends on localization | Varies | Must be built | Arabic UI and documents in the core |
| Time to first working version | Months | Days to weeks | Months | 8–16 weeks for a custom platform |
| Hosting and data location | Vendor cloud or on-premise | Usually vendor cloud | Your choice | Self-hosted, your choice |
| Cost model | Licences per user + partner fees | Subscription per user | Project fee | From $10,000, or retainer |
The right answer depends on your size. If you need a global suite audited for a multinational, buy one. If your processes are specific and you want a system you control, a custom ERP on a working core is usually faster and cheaper to live with. The custom ERP development service page explains the method, and our US custom ERP page covers the same offer for American buyers.
Working with a remote ERP team from Casablanca
- Time zone: Casablanca is GMT+1 for most of the year, three hours behind Dubai, and four hours behind during the Ramadan period when Morocco moves to GMT. Your afternoon is our morning.
- Working week: the UAE’s official week runs Monday to Friday, the same as Morocco’s.
- Rhythm: one senior lead, one shared Slack channel, a Loom walkthrough of working software every Friday.
- Languages: English and French daily; Arabic for interface and document content.
- Contracts and payment: written scope, code ownership and confidentiality terms before kick-off; prices in USD, invoiced in AED on request.
- Workshops: discovery is remote by default; on-site sessions in Dubai can be arranged.
If you also need a public website or an app on top of the ERP, see our pages on web development for Dubai and mobile app development for Dubai.

Yes. VAT in the UAE is charged at a standard rate of 5%, and RIVER ERP already handles tax rates, credit notes, tax reports and period close. We configure the rates, document wording and reports for your activity, and we validate the setup with your tax adviser rather than giving tax advice ourselves.
The UAE is moving to structured e-invoicing in phases, with technical rules published by the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Tax Authority. RIVER ERP already produces structured invoices for Morocco (UBL 2.1) and the EU (Factur-X), so adapting it to the published UAE specification is a scoped localization task. We plan it against the official timeline with your adviser.
RIVER ERP has complete French, English and Arabic interface bundles and produces Arabic business documents, including totals written out in Arabic. Right-to-left layout for screens and print templates is designed per project, so we scope it with you rather than assuming it.
Yes. RIVER ERP has a multi-company module where one owner runs several companies with separate roles, and its treasury handles multiple currencies. That suits Dubai groups that operate a mainland company alongside a free-zone entity.
Fixed-scope custom platforms start at $10,000, and most ERP projects take 8–16 weeks. For ongoing work we offer retainers at $7,500 per month (Growth, 45 hours) or $15,000 per month (Scale, 100 hours). Prices are in USD, and we can invoice in AED on request.
Ownership is written into the contract before kick-off. RIVER-based builds are self-hosted, so the system runs on your own server or cloud account and your data stays there. We agree up front which parts are licensed RIVER core and which are custom modules you own outright.
