Software and Mobile App Development Company for Saudi Arabia
RAIN Design Studio is a software and mobile app development company for Saudi Arabia, run from Casablanca, Morocco, and working remotely with Saudi companies two hours behind Riyadh. One senior team designs and builds custom software, PWA and Capacitor apps, and ERP systems, with our own 23-module RIVER ERP as the proof. Projects start at $10,000.

One partner for software, apps and ERP in Saudi Arabia
Saudi companies are digitizing quickly. Vision 2030 has pushed digital services, e-commerce, tourism and entertainment up the agenda, and many mid-sized businesses now need three things at once: a modern website, an app for customers or staff, and back-office software that keeps invoicing, stock and accounts in order.
Most suppliers cover one of those. RAIN Design Studio covers all three with one senior team. We are a design and development studio in Casablanca, Morocco, working remotely with Saudi companies. We have no office in the Kingdom and do not claim one. What we bring is a small senior team, published prices and products we built and run ourselves.
What we build for Saudi companies
- Custom software and SaaS: client portals, booking and subscription systems, internal tools, dashboards. See SaaS development.
- Mobile apps: PWAs and Capacitor apps for iOS and Android, with the back end and admin built by the same team.
- ERP and business systems: sales, purchasing, stock, POS, treasury and accounting, built on our own core. See custom ERP development.
- Websites and landing pages in Astro, with structured data and Core Web Vitals in mind.
Our stack: TypeScript, Vue 3, React, Laravel and PHP, Tailwind CSS, Tauri for desktop, Capacitor for mobile, MySQL and PostgreSQL, Figma for design.
Choosing a mobile app development company in Saudi Arabia
If you are comparing a mobile app development company in Saudi Arabia with remote partners, start with the question of what the app really is. In our experience most business apps in the Kingdom (ordering, booking, field sales, loyalty, staff tools) are front ends to a business system. The app is the visible part; the hard part is the API, payments, stock and reporting behind it.
That is how we build. RIVER ERP, our own platform, is one Laravel 13 and Vue 3 codebase delivered as a web app, a PWA, Capacitor 8 projects for iOS and Android and a Tauri v2 desktop shell. Camera barcode scanning, sharing and haptics come through Capacitor plugins. The same pattern works for a Saudi retailer’s customer app or a contractor’s field app.
We are honest about the boundary: we do not have a portfolio of fully native Swift or Kotlin apps or games. If your product needs that, we will point you elsewhere.
ERP for Saudi businesses, built on a working core
Off-the-shelf ERPs often fit Saudi operations badly: Arabic documents are an afterthought, multi-branch stock is clumsy, and local tax requirements arrive as expensive add-ons. A bespoke ERP from scratch takes too long.
RIVER ERP gives a custom project a working base: 23 activatable modules across 12 suites, 16 business document types, multi-company and multi-currency treasury, multi-warehouse stock with batch and serial tracking, retail and restaurant POS, payroll and an AI workspace. Its French, English and Arabic interfaces are complete, and it produces Arabic business documents.
ZATCA e-invoicing, in general terms
Saudi Arabia’s tax authority, ZATCA, runs an e-invoicing program known as Fatoora, introduced in phases with integration requirements rolled out to taxpayers in waves. We treat it as a localization task: RIVER already builds signed, structured e-invoices for Morocco’s tax authority and Factur-X invoices for the EU. A Saudi project would map those capabilities to ZATCA’s published specifications, with your tax adviser validating the result. We do not claim ZATCA approval we do not hold.
Proof from our own products
- RIVER ERP: version 27.0.1, 1,226 commits between May and October 2026, 965 PHPUnit test files and 381 Vitest specs.
- ERPStore: subscription billing and CRM with 126 routes, 76 REST API endpoints, 10 payment methods and a client portal in 32 languages.
- RAIN Store: an e-commerce admin platform with 58 modules, from products and orders to B2B, subscriptions and affiliates.
- Enterprise CRM: a B2B pipeline product built on React, NestJS and GraphQL.
These are in-house products, not client claims. We do not list Saudi clients because we have none to name publicly yet.
How we compare with the usual options
| Criterion | Saudi software house | Gulf agency based in Dubai | Large offshore vendor | Freelancers | RAIN (Casablanca) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Time difference to Riyadh | None | 1 h | Varies by country | Varies | 2 h (3 h during Ramadan) |
| Shared working days | Full | Partial (Mon–Thu) | Varies | Varies | Mon–Thu |
| Web, app and ERP in one team | Sometimes | Usually web and app | Yes, often split across teams | Rarely | Yes, one senior team |
| Own products as proof | Varies | Rare | Varies | Rare | RIVER ERP, ERPStore, RAIN Store |
| Seniority | Varies | Varies | Often junior-heavy | One person | Senior only, human sign-off |
| Public-sector eligibility | Often eligible | Varies | Varies | Rarely | Private sector; partner for public projects |
| Pricing | Quote-based | Quote-based | Day rates | Hourly | From $10,000; retainers $7,500 or $15,000/month |
A local software house is the right call for public-sector work with local-content requirements. For private companies that want one senior team across web, app and ERP, remote delivery from Casablanca is a realistic option.
How a Saudi engagement runs
We keep the process short and visible, because remote work only succeeds when nobody has to guess what is happening:
- Free 15-minute call to understand the product, users, languages and deadline.
- Scoping session and a written proposal: fixed scope from $10,000, or a monthly retainer, with first milestones and who does what on each side.
- Contract, covering code ownership, access, confidentiality and hosting.
- Kick-off within 3–5 business days: access to tools, a design sprint in Figma, and the first working increment within the first weeks.
- Weekly rhythm: one senior lead, one shared Slack channel, and a Loom walkthrough every Friday that your team can watch on Sunday and forward to stakeholders.
- Launch and support: app store submission where relevant, monitoring, and a retainer for releases if you need one.
Twice-weekly syncs come with the Growth retainer and daily syncs with Scale. Every design and every merge is reviewed and signed off by a senior person, even where AI tools speed up research, drafting and testing.
Logistics: time, language, contracts
- Time zone: Casablanca is GMT+1 for most of the year, two hours behind Riyadh, and three hours behind during the Ramadan period when Morocco moves to GMT.
- Working week: Saudi Arabia works Sunday to Thursday; Morocco works Monday to Friday. We share four full days and plan releases around them.
- Language: English daily, plus French; Arabic for interfaces and documents, designed per project.
- Data: self-hosted systems mean you choose the hosting region. The Saudi PDPL, overseen by SDAIA, governs personal data, including transfers abroad; your counsel confirms how it applies.
- Contracts: scope, code ownership and confidentiality agreed before kick-off; repositories and cloud accounts in your company’s name; prices in USD.

Frequently asked questions
No. RAIN Design Studio is based in Casablanca, Morocco, and works with Saudi companies remotely. Casablanca is two hours behind Saudi Arabia for most of the year. On-site workshops in Riyadh, Jeddah or the Eastern Province can be arranged for larger engagements.
Saudi Arabia works Sunday to Thursday and Morocco works Monday to Friday, so we share Monday to Thursday in full. Sunday questions are answered on Monday morning, and our Friday delivery and Loom walkthrough are ready when your team returns on Sunday.
ZATCA's e-invoicing program, known as Fatoora, sets the rules for electronic invoices in Saudi Arabia and is being rolled out to taxpayers in phases. RIVER ERP already produces signed, structured e-invoices for Morocco and Factur-X invoices for the EU, so adapting it to ZATCA's published specifications is a scoped localization project. We do not claim any ZATCA approval, and your tax adviser should validate the setup.
We build cross-platform apps: installable PWAs and Capacitor apps for iOS and Android sharing one codebase with the web product, as in RIVER ERP. For games, advanced AR or heavy native processing, a specialist Swift and Kotlin team is the better fit, and we will tell you so.
Yes. Arabic and right-to-left layouts are designed per project from the first wireframes. In RIVER ERP we ship a complete Arabic interface bundle and Arabic business documents, which is our clearest Arabic product work.
Fixed-scope projects start at $10,000, and custom platforms such as ERP, CRM or billing systems typically take 8–16 weeks. Ongoing work runs on retainers of $7,500 per month (45 hours) or $15,000 per month (100 hours). All prices are in USD.
Our platforms are self-hosted, so you choose the server and region, including hosting inside Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), overseen by SDAIA, includes rules on processing and transferring personal data, and your legal counsel should confirm what applies to your project.
