Website design for Abu Dhabi, by a remote senior studio
Abu Dhabi buyers tend to judge a website the way they judge a supplier: is it credible, is it clear, and does it work for everyone who needs to use it? A template with stock photos and a slow page builder does not pass that test.
RAIN Design Studio is a senior design and development studio in Casablanca, Morocco, working remotely with Abu Dhabi organizations. We do website design and the build behind it: brand-aware interface design in Figma, then a fast static site on Astro, with structured data, accessibility and search built in from the first page. We do not have an office in Abu Dhabi. We work three hours behind you, with one senior lead per project and a working preview every Friday.
Who we design for in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi is the UAE’s capital, home to the federal government, a large energy sector, the ADGM financial free zone and a growing technology scene around Hub71. Around those anchors sits a wide B2B economy. The organizations we fit best:
- Consultancies and professional firms that sell expertise and need positioning, case studies and thought leadership.
- B2B suppliers and contractors serving energy, infrastructure, healthcare and education, where buyers read specifications before they call.
- Startups and scale-ups that need a site that explains a product to investors and enterprise customers.
- Research, data and advisory firms that publish reports, methods and policies.
We are less suited to direct government tenders: those often require a UAE-registered supplier. In that case we work as the design and build partner of a local agency that holds the contract.
What a RAIN website includes
Every site we ship comes with the same technical baseline:
- Semantic HTML and Core Web Vitals focus (LCP, INP, CLS), on static Astro pages that load without a heavy JavaScript runtime.
- JSON-LD structured data for the organization, services, FAQs and breadcrumbs.
- Sitemap, hreflang where there is more than one language, and an AI-crawler-friendly
robots.txt. llms.txtandllms-full.txt, so AI answer engines can read your site cleanly. Our generative engine optimization page explains why that matters.- Light and dark themes, keyboard navigation and visible focus, designed to WCAG 2.2 AA as a target.
Arabic and English, designed rather than translated
Many Abu Dhabi audiences expect Arabic and English parity. A bilingual site is not an English site with a translated copy pasted in. We plan it from the start:
- Right-to-left layouts for Arabic pages, with mirrored navigation, icons and reading order.
- Arabic typography chosen to sit beside the Latin typeface without looking like an afterthought.
- Separate URLs per language with correct hreflang, so each version can rank on its own.
- Content parity mapped in the sitemap, so no Arabic page leads to an English dead end.
To be precise about our track record: our studio ships a complete Arabic interface and Arabic business documents in our own RIVER ERP product. Most of our published client websites are in English or French. Arabic and RTL are designed per project and priced into the scope.
Proof: three sites worth looking at
Origin Element
Origin Element is the marketing site of a London AI integration consultancy, built on Astro 7 with 42 indexable pages, including 36 SEO and GEO content pages (services, regions, industries and guides). Every page has a build-time Open Graph image, the site generates its own llms.txt, and a Lighthouse budget runs in CI. It is the closest model for an Abu Dhabi consultancy that competes with much larger firms.
MField & Data Insight
MField & Data Insight serves a Casablanca fieldwork and data-processing agency working across the Middle East and Africa. The 33-page Astro site includes an interactive fieldwork cost and timeline calculator, a keyboard-accessible 12-region map and a 16-document policy hub, with light and dark themes meeting WCAG AA contrast. It shows how we handle research and advisory content.
Media Progetti
Media Progetti, a 68-page French site for a Casablanca kitchen importer, carries JSON-LD on 66 of 69 pages. Its delivery statement reported a Semrush site audit of 100% site health with zero errors on 78 crawled pages. It shows how we structure a large content site for search.
Content, search and AI answers
In Abu Dhabi’s B2B market, buyers often research a supplier long before they contact one, and more of that research now starts in an AI assistant rather than a search box. A website has to answer their questions in a form both people and machines can read.
That is why we plan the content structure with the design, not after it:
- Service and sector pages that each answer one clear question, instead of one long page that tries to say everything.
- FAQ blocks with FAQPage schema, written as real buyer questions with short, self-contained answers.
- Case studies and insights with dates, authors and sources, which help credibility with procurement teams and AI engines alike.
- A clean internal-link structure, so every page is reachable in a few clicks and search engines understand how topics relate.
We do not promise rankings or AI citations. We build the conditions for them, and we explain what we did and why at handover.

Frequently asked questions
No. RAIN Design Studio is based in Casablanca, Morocco, and designs websites for Abu Dhabi organizations remotely. Casablanca is three hours behind the UAE for most of the year, so our morning overlaps your afternoon. Workshops in Abu Dhabi can be arranged for larger projects.
Yes, and we design it per project rather than translating at the end. That means a right-to-left layout for Arabic pages, Arabic type pairing, separate Arabic and English URLs with hreflang, and content parity planned in the sitemap. Our studio ships Arabic interfaces and documents in RIVER ERP; most of our published client sites are English or French, and we say so openly.
We work best with private companies, consultancies and organizations that can contract a foreign studio directly, or as a design and build partner to a UAE-registered agency that holds the contract. Public tenders often require local registration, which we do not have. We can supply accessibility notes, security headers and documentation that such projects usually ask for.
A marketing or corporate website typically takes 3–6 weeks from kick-off, which happens 3–5 business days after signature. Larger content programs with dozens of pages, or a bilingual build, sit at the longer end.
Fixed-scope projects start at $10,000. Ongoing design, content and development work runs on retainers of $7,500 per month (45 hours) or $15,000 per month (100 hours). Prices are in USD, and we can invoice in AED on request.
We design and build to WCAG 2.2 AA as a target: semantic HTML, sufficient contrast in light and dark themes, keyboard navigation and visible focus states. We check these during the build, and we recommend an independent audit if your organization needs formal conformance evidence.
