Why one web design and development agency beats two suppliers

A lot of UK website projects are split in two: a design agency produces Figma files, then a development shop or freelancer builds them. The problems tend to show up at the join. Layouts that look right on a 1440-pixel artboard break on a phone, animations get dropped because nobody budgeted for them, and the content model is invented by the developer at the last minute.

Built on Astro, for speed and low maintenance

Most of our marketing sites are built with Astro, a framework that renders pages to static HTML at build time. Pages reach the browser without a database query, and JavaScript loads only for the components that actually need it. For a UK business this means:

• Fast pages on ordinary mobile connections, which supports Core Web Vitals.
• A smaller attack surface: no plugin updates or admin login exposed on the public site.
• Cheap, simple hosting on any static host or CDN.

A UK agency is the right call if you need regular face-to-face workshops in your office. A template builder is fine for a five-page site you will maintain yourself. We fit best when the site has to perform, carry real content and be maintained properly for years.

Working remotely with UK teams

• Hours. Morocco is on GMT+1 for most of the year and GMT for about a month around Ramadan, so Casablanca matches the UK in summer and is one hour ahead in winter.
• Rhythm. One shared Slack channel, syncs twice a week on Growth, and a Loom walkthrough every Friday.
• Cookies and privacy. Analytics and cookie consent are set up to respect UK GDPR and PECR, and we keep third-party scripts to a minimum. Your privacy policy and legal wording remain your decision.
• Ownership. Code, designs and domains are yours. We can deploy from your own Git repository and hosting account.
• Invoicing. Prices are in USD; we can invoice in GBP on request.

When RAIN is not the right fit

We would rather lose a project at the first call than halfway through it. We are probably not the right web design and development agency for you if:

• Your budget is well under $10,000. A good template on Squarespace or Webflow, or a capable local freelancer, will serve you better.
• You need someone in your office every week. We travel for workshops by arrangement, but day-to-day work is remote.
• You want a large WordPress plugin ecosystem maintained by your own team. We can advise, but our strength is Astro for marketing sites and Laravel or Vue for applications.
• You need a campaign agency for paid media, video production or PR. We design and build; we do not run ad budgets.

If you are unsure, the 15-minute call usually settles it. We will point you to a better option if there is one, and we have no reason to oversell a remote engagement that will not work for your team.
