SaaS Development Company for US Startups and Software Teams
The best evidence a SaaS development company can offer is SaaS it runs itself. RAIN Design Studio is a senior design and development studio in Casablanca, Morocco, working remotely with US startups and software teams. We build and maintain our own subscription, ERP and AI products, and custom SaaS projects start at $10,000.

A SaaS development company that runs its own SaaS
Most agencies that offer SaaS development services have built SaaS for clients. Fewer have had to bill their own customers, migrate their own production databases and answer their own support tickets. That experience changes how you design a product.
RAIN Design Studio is a senior studio in Casablanca, Morocco, working remotely with US startups and software teams. We are a small team working with AI specialists, with one senior lead per project and a human sign-off on every merge and every design. Alongside client work, we design, build and run our own products: a subscription and billing platform, a modular ERP, an AI podcast platform and a credential registry. Each one taught us something a client brief rarely does.
Our SaaS development service describes the offer in general. This page is for US teams deciding which SaaS development company to trust with a product that has to earn revenue.
SaaS application development services we offer
Our SaaS application development services cover the full product, not just the screens:
- Accounts, auth and roles: sign-up, SSO-ready authentication, teams, invitations and role-based permissions.
- Billing: plans, trials, coupons, invoices and dunning, using Stripe or other payment providers, plus manual methods where your market needs them.
- Core application: the workflows your customers pay for, designed in Figma and built in Vue 3 or React on a Laravel or TypeScript back end.
- Admin and support tooling: impersonation, audit logs, usage dashboards and feature flags, so your team can operate the product without a developer.
- APIs and integrations: documented REST or GraphQL APIs, webhooks and the integrations your customers expect.
- AI features: model calls in queued jobs, with provider abstraction, cost tracking and output a human can review.
- Desktop and mobile: Tauri and Capacitor shells when customers want an installed app.
Proof: SaaS we build and run ourselves
ERPStore: subscriptions, billing and CRM
ERPStore is our self-hosted subscription store, billing and CRM platform for digital-service resellers. It handles 10 payment methods, including PayPal, Stripe, Paymentwall, Payssion and Whop plus manual rails such as bank transfer and Wise, six email providers and a client portal in 32 languages. It has 126 routes and 76 API endpoints, is licensed per domain, and its upgrade was validated on a real database of 1,023 users, 354 orders and 483 payments without data loss.
RIVER ERP: a modular, real-time core
RIVER ERP is our Laravel 13 and Vue 3 business system with 23 activatable modules, 12 suites and 154 screens. It uses Laravel Reverb for WebSockets, scoped API tokens, an OpenAPI 3.1 specification and adapters for 18 AI providers, from hosted models to local ones. One codebase ships as a web app, PWA, iOS and Android wrappers and a desktop app.
Pods: an AI pipeline in production
Pods is our self-hosted AI podcast platform on Laravel 13 and Vue 3, live since late March 2026. An admin types a topic; a queued job writes a two-host script, voices it with multi-speaker text-to-speech, converts it to MP3 and publishes it with generated SEO fields and JSON-LD. Token usage is logged per episode, so the cost of every AI call stays visible. It exposes 61 API endpoints and shipped four point releases in its first week.
Certificate Registry: security as a feature
Certificate Registry issues and verifies credentials through tokenized links and QR codes. It is a React 18 and TypeScript front end on a Laravel API with Sanctum tokens, optional TOTP two-factor authentication, configurable rate limits, an admin console on a private path and 15 feature tests covering its security rules.
Architecture choices we make with you
| Decision | Typical options | How we decide |
|---|---|---|
| Tenancy | Shared database with tenant keys, schema per tenant, database per tenant | Data isolation needs, customer size and how you plan to price |
| Billing | Stripe Billing, a merchant of record, custom invoicing | Where you sell, tax handling and how complex your plans are |
| Front end | Vue 3 or React | Your team’s skills and hiring plans |
| Back end | Laravel or a TypeScript API | Existing code, team skills and integration needs |
| Real time | Polling, WebSockets | Whether users collaborate live or just need fresh data |
| AI | Hosted APIs, open-weight models, local inference | Data sensitivity, cost per request and latency |
Most early-stage products are well served by a shared database with tenant keys, Stripe Billing and a single back end; we only add complexity when a real customer or regulator requires it. We write these decisions down as short architecture notes, so the next engineer, ours or yours, knows why the product looks the way it does.

Working with US teams from Casablanca
Morocco runs on GMT+1 for most of the year, moving to GMT for about a month around Ramadan. Casablanca is 5–6 hours ahead of New York and 8–9 hours ahead of San Francisco. East Coast teams get around four shared hours in their morning; West Coast teams work async-first. Either way, you get one shared Slack channel, pull requests ready when your day starts, and a working increment with a Loom walkthrough every Friday.
We do not have a US office and do not hold a SOC 2 report. For products that need one, we work inside your environment under your access controls. Privacy obligations in the US come mostly from state laws such as the CCPA; we build consent, export and deletion flows when your counsel requires them.
Pricing, ownership and getting started
- Fixed-scope SaaS builds from $10,000; a full SaaS platform typically takes 8–16 weeks.
- Growth, $7,500 per month: 45 hours, two active projects, twice-weekly syncs, 24-hour response.
- Scale, $15,000 per month: 100 hours, unlimited active projects, daily syncs, same-day response.
The contract assigns intellectual property in the work to you, and we invoice in US dollars. Kick-off happens within 3–5 business days of signature. If you are still validating the idea, see our MVP development page first.

Frequently asked questions
A SaaS development company designs and builds the whole subscription product: sign-up and authentication, accounts and roles, billing and plans, the core application, admin tools, APIs, email and the infrastructure to deploy and update it safely. RAIN covers product design and engineering in one team, so the same people who design a flow also build and maintain it.
Fixed-scope SaaS projects start at $10,000 and a full SaaS platform typically takes 8 to 16 weeks. Many teams continue on a retainer after launch: Growth at $7,500 per month for 45 hours, or Scale at $15,000 per month for 100 hours. All prices are in US dollars.
Yes. A large share of SaaS work is extending a product that already has paying customers. We start with a codebase review, agree on conventions, and work in your repository through pull requests, so your engineers stay in control of what merges.
Yes, and we run them in our own products. RIVER ERP includes adapters for 18 AI providers, including local models, and Pods runs a queued AI pipeline that writes a script, voices it, encodes the audio and logs token usage per episode. We design AI features with cost tracking and a human-reviewable output from the start.
Casablanca is five to six hours ahead of the US East Coast and eight to nine hours ahead of the West Coast, depending on daylight saving. East Coast teams share around four hours of their morning with us. West Coast teams work async-first, with pull requests and a written update waiting at the start of their day.
You do. The contract assigns intellectual property in the work to your company, and we can work inside your GitHub organization and cloud accounts from day one. Our own products, such as ERPStore and RIVER ERP, remain ours; we reuse experience and patterns from them, not their proprietary code, unless a license is agreed in writing.
